Chapter 279
Louis roared like a wounded beast and lunged wildly at Matthew. His uninjured hand reached out to claw the latter's eyes.
Matthew's reflexes kicked in. He grabbed Louis' wrist and kicked his chest. Louis was sent flying backward, but Matthew held onto his wrist and yanked him down.
Louis crashed heavily onto the ground and screamed in pain, "Ah! It hurts!"
Matthew didn't give him a chance to recover. He pinned Louis' shoulder with his foot and twisted his arm with a brutal wrench.
There was a sickening crack as Louis' wrist twisted at a full 360 degrees, leaving it dangling limply. It was barely attached by torn skin and muscle as blood gushed out from the mangled joint. He writhed on the floor and howled in agony. The sight was so brutal that it made everyone watching shudder.
Rachel gasped and covered her mouth, backing up until she hit the wall. She stopped there, her eyes widening in fear.
The three bodyguards looked on in shock. They looked at Matthew with a mix of terror and awe.
Sara was utterly stunned. She had expected Louis to beat Matthew senselessly. But instead, Louis was the one getting the beating. She had no idea how to handle the situation at that instant.
Louis was in agony. Clenching his teeth, he struggled to his feet and yelled at her, "Call 911, hurry! I can't take it. Ahh!" His words turned into screams.
She fumbled desperately for her phone. After a frantic search, she realized that she didn't have it. "I don't have my phone. I'd even called Hayden using yours."
Louis trembled, and sweat trickled from his forehead. "Then, get my phone from my pocket!"
Matthew watched as Sara reached for the phone. Suddenly, he said, "Did I say you could use the phone?"
She stared at him, and her fear escalated when she saw the icy, cutting look in his eyes. Terrified, she hurriedly shoved the phone back into Louis' pocket.
Louis glared at Matthew and gritted his teeth. "I can't take this pain anymore! What do you want?"
Matthew replied coldly, "You said the strong set the rules, right? I'm stronger than you now, so here's a new rule-no phone calls! If it hurts, bear it."noveldrama
Louis looked at Matthew in horror. He roared through clenched teeth, "Do you know who I am? I'm from the Evans family, the top martial arts family in Lambda City.
"Don't think you're anything special
just because you caught me off guard and got the upper hand. You're alone, powerless, and insignificant compared to my If my hands are ruined, you'll pay a terrible price."
Matthew slowly advanced toward Louis. "I don't care about the Evans family, and thave no interest in knowing them. Keep talking, and make sure you die a gruesome death. As he spoke, a wave of murderous intent surged from him.
Louis could feel fierce, unyielding pressure bearing down on him. He trembled and hugged his arms tightly as he retreated until his back hit the window. When he glanced back he saw nothing but the void beyond the window.
Terrified and disoriented, he watched Matthew advance with the cold determination of a grim reaper.
He frantically shouted, "Don't come any closer. If I die, my family will seek revenge. Think about the consequences."
Matthew's footsteps echoed steadily, neither hurried nor too slow, with each step perfectly measured.
He advanced like a grim reaper from the depths of hell, unbothered by threats or other distractions as he relentlessly closed in on Louis.
Louis looked on in terror. His fear escalated as he realized Matthew was a lunatic. It became clear that Matthew was prepared to kill him right there in front of everyone.
His fear intensified when he saw that Matthew was closing in. Gritting his teeth, he dropped to his knees. "Please, don't kill me! I don't want to die! I'm begging you. Spare me!"
