Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1586

As for Nash...

She hadn't really gotten a good look at him yet. Right now, her main priority was to keep Tyler happy; that was the key. You've got to take things one step at a time.

After school, Jackson swung by to pick up Fiona for dinner and brought along the dress she'd wear to tomorrow's gala. His black SUV was parked across the street from the school, standing out and catching everyone's eye. He leaned against the car door, the sunlight casting a glow on his features, attracting quite a few stares from people passing by.

As soon as Fiona stepped out, she spotted Jackson across the street. After a quick look to make sure the coast was clear, she ran over to him, her heart pounding with excitement.

How long had it been since they last saw each other? Her thoughts kept drifting back to Jackson more and more. It was strange.

Behind her, Nash, Tyler, and Yvenne were also crossing the street.

"Hey, big brother!" Fiona called out, her voice as sweet as honey.

Jackson opened the car door for her, helping her in before closing it gently. He turned to see Nash still taking his time crossing the street and couldn't help but frown.

"Hurry up already!"

Nash was taken aback. Wasn't he supposed to be family?

"Jackson!” Nash shouted, his frustration evident, but Jackson just rolled his eyes. Once everyone was in the car, Jackson was used to Tyler tagging along for meals by now. But today, there was also a young girl with them.

As soon as she got in, Yvenne let go of Tyler's arm, making sure not to seem too clingy, giving Tyler some space. It was her first time in such a fancy car, with its soft seats and a driver who was quite a sight.

"Jackson, where are we going to eat?"

Jackson handed his phone to Fiona, sitting in the passenger seat, and gave her a warm smile. "What do you feel like eating, Fiona?"

His favoritism towards Fiona was obvious, as he ignored Nash.

Fiona picked a sushi place she hadn't tried before, but if it was on Jackson's phone, it had to be good.

When they arrived, Tyler took the chance to introduce Yvenne since they were in Jackson's domain.

"Let's eat first," Jackson said, not too interested in the introductions. He put on gloves and peeled some shrimp and scallops for Fiona, placing them in her bowl. "Your favorites."

"Thanks, big brother~"

Jackson had peeled shrimp for her before, but now, it felt different. The shrimp seemed especially sweet.

"Jackson is so nice to Fiona," Yvenne said with an adorable grin, her dimples showing like a kid's. "I'm lucky too. Jules treats me just as well."

Anyone could pick up on what she was hinting at.noveldrama

"Fiona looks younger than you," Jackson replied, leaving Yvenne at a loss for words.

Yvenne managed an awkward smile, puzzled at Jackson's fondness for Fiona. Did he really have a thing for younger girls? If so, maybe she had a shot too.

"Jackson, don't get me wrong, that's not what I meant," Yvenne said, trying to seem innocent. “I know I'm from the countryside and might not be as articulate, and I'm not as clever as Fiona. But I'm trying hard, really. I'm sorry if I've embarrassed you."
